Jamestown, New York
Jennifer's day job is program director and grant writer at Jamestown Audubon Society, Inc. Photography has been her passion for many years.
"The images selected for Women Create 2014 were so much fun to make. I cook in copper-bottomed Revere-ware pots and pans. Sometimes, I forego the Copper-glo when washing up the dishes. The designs created by the oxidation just fascinate me.
"I used a 10X magnifier on top of an 18-55mm lens which allowed me to get very close to the pans and photograph very small portions of the designs. The colors in 'Cosmos in my Kitchen I' are true to the original oxidation designs. The colors in 'Cosmos II' were manipulated a bit in Photoshop."
